Song Description

This sohar is sung about Devaki when she is expecting Krishna. It narrates her three auspicious dreams across three nights—each a divine sign of the child to come. In the first dream, she sees a fresh green bamboo growing in the courtyard; in the second, young mango trees flowering and bearing fruit; in the third, she sees her aanchal covering curd and chaanch. These visions are seen as good omens, foretelling the joyous birth of Krishna.
